You will spend two days being absorbed in nature at two famous locations, Uluru and Kata Tjuta, which are smartly incorporated into one amazing tour. In your travel through Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, UNESCO World Heritage-listed since 1987, your professional guide will make a narration filled with facts and hidden treasures; this will unveil the secrets of the Red Center.
We have comfortable twin permanent safari tents offering some added comfort, privacy and security, or you can try out the traditional swag experience (canvas-covered bed roll).

Full Itinerary
Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru/Ayers Rock
We leave Alice Springs early, heading for Uluru. On the way, we stop at a lookout point from where you can see Mt Connor (False Uluru) before making a toilet break at Curtin Springs to get lunch at our camping ground. You may also wish to take advantage of the free Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock campground shuttle service that will start your Outback adventure. The heart of the Red Centre and an Aboriginal heritage dating back thousands of years would astound you, and you will be able to learn more about it in an interpretive cultural centre. As you start a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, explore sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories. This will enable you to have an intimate experience with the colossal monolith, Uluru. Discover the awe-inspiring Kantju Gorge, which welcomes you with Central Australia’s tallest waterfall and an elders’ cave as well, and conclude your day watching a stunning sunset from the Uluru lookout with a good dinner.

Day 2: Uluru to Kata Tjuta - finishing Yulara
Wake up early and have a simple breakfast before heading to see a beautiful sunrise at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Kata Tjuta silhouette, a breathtaking spectacle! Additionally, you can take part in thrilling walks through the magnificence of Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge where mighty conglomerate rock formations are found. Visitors can wrap up their exploration of Kata Tjuta and thereafter return to Yulara Airport for a meeting with an onward flight if applicable. The estimated time for dropping off is around midday.
Day 2 Highlights:
- Magnificent sunrises at Uluru
- Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
- Go for a walk into the Valley of Winds or Walpa Gorge.
- The Olgas- Kata Tjuta
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
Driving Distance: 150 kilometres
Hiking Distance: 2-5 kilometres, taking approximately 2-4 hours (weather dependent)

What to bring
2L Reusable water container, broad-rimmed cap, eyeglasses for sun protection & sunblock, beach cloth & personal care items, swim attire, durable, comfortable trekking footwear (enclosed types), clothing suitable for all climates (harsh conditions day/evening), photographic device, an illuminating device, forehead light or lantern, strong tropical bug spray, mosquito or gnat covering (during warm periods), 15kg overnight sack & compact day carrier, carry your sleeping sack & cushion (optional – if opting for a swag), power storage device (scarce opportunities for electrical recharge for phones or cameras), and funds for refreshments and dishes.
